Freedom of Information

The Freedom of Information Act was passed on 30 November 2000 and came into force in January 2005. It gives the public a right of access to all types of recorded information held by public authorities, but also sets out exemptions from that right.

The Committee on Climate Change is a Non-Departmental Public Body and is therefore covered by the Act.

If you have a Freedom on Information request, please email: enquiries@theccc.gsi.gov.uk.

We will respond to FOI requests within 20 working days (not including the day of receipt) of receiving them.

The Committee  is committed to working in a transparent manner, and in so doing, we publish all of our reports online. We also publish all of the background data and supporting research which is used/ cited in our reports on our website.
