Committee welcomes Government decision on gas CCS demonstration

The Government has announced that the carbon capture and storage demonstration programme will be opened to gas as well as coal fired-plants. The decision follows advice the Committee gave earlier this year in a letter to the Secretary of State.

ASC advises Government on preparing for climate change risks
Chair of the ASC, Lord John Krebs, has written to the Secretary of State setting out detailed advice on the methodology being used for the UKs Climate Change Risk Assessment (CCRA).
