| Government proposes electricity market reforms |
| The Government has announced proposed reforms to the electricity market which will aim to put in place a carbon price floor and encourage investment in clean energy by setting out long term contracts for low carbon generation. |

| UK should commit to a 60% cut in emissions by 2030 |

The Committee recently published a report recommending a level for the 4th carbon budget for 2023-27 and a target to cut emissions by 60% relative to 1990 levels in 2030 (46% relative to current levels).
