GDP and cost codes may not have the immediate appeal of melting glaciers and polar bears, but it is the process of economic growth and industrialization that has actually created the challenge of climate change. So it is important to think about the economics of climate change in order to find a path to mitigation that will be acceptable to people and at a reasonable cost.
