This supporting research accompanies the Adaptation Sub-Committee’s 2017 Report to Parliament: Progress in preparing for climate change. The research was carried out by Jacobs.
The report:
- summarises the outcomes of research into the capability of the emergency planning system in England
- the research consisted of 17 telephone interviews with experts from 14 Local Resilience Forums across England
- the interviews were carried out by Jacobs for the ASC between February and April 2017
- participants were asked to share their views and experiences of managing climate-related emergencies and the needs of the emergency planning system
