The UK’s contribution to a Paris-consistent global emissions reduction pathway (Grantham Institute, Imperial College London)

This report by the Grantham Institute, Imperial College London was produced to support the Committee on Climate Change’s (CCC) 2019 report Net Zero: The UK’s contribution to stopping global warming.

This research provided supporting information for Chapter 3 of the CCC’s report, considering an appropriate UK contribution to the global effort. The Grantham Institute looks at the UK’s recent progress in aspects of decarbonisation compared to other countries, the relative shares of different regions to the global mitigation effort under existing published scenarios and national deep decarbonisation scenarios alongside pledged emissions reductions.
