The Committee on Climate Change has today launched a call for evidence in order to identify relevant published information of the risks and opportunities to the UK from climate change. The evidence will inform the Government’s next Climate Change Risk Assessment.
Every five years the UK Government must carry out an assessment of the current and future risks to the country from climate change. The next assessment is due in January 2017.
To inform the 2017 risk assessment, Defra has asked the Adaptation Sub-Committee of the Committee on Climate Change to prepare an evidence report.
