Adaptation Sub-Committee seeks new members

The Adaptation Sub-Committee (ASC) of the Committee on Climate Change is seeking two new expert members. The appointees will be responsible for helping to steer the work of the ASC, determining its strategic direction and providing impartial input into the Sub-Committee’s work.

The hidden problem of overheating

Every year for the past four years, the Adaptation Sub-Committee (ASC) of the Committee on Climate Change has recommended to the Government that more should be done to address the growing risk of overheating in homes and other buildings. But overheating is not generally seen as a big issue compared to other climate risks, such as flooding. Why should the Government, and the public, care about overheating? Adaptation Reporting Power: second round review

This report presents the findings of a review by the Adaptation Sub-Committee of the second round of the Adaptation Reporting Power (ARP). The Adaptation Reporting Power was created as part of the Climate Change Act (2008). It allows the Secretary of State to ask key organisations to report on the steps they are taking to prepare for climate change.
